The Gujarat Public Authorities Seals Act, 2004

This Act empowers the Gujarat State Government to prescribe official seals for Sessions Judges, Magistrates, and other public authorities whose seals are not already determined by existing law. By establishing consistent official seals, the legislation ensures proper authentication of documents and court orders issued by judicial officers and public institutions across Gujarat. The measure updates and consolidates the legal framework governing official seals, repealing the Bombay Public Authorities Seals Act 1883 for Gujarat while preserving all previously made appointments, rules, orders, and documents issued under the repealed Act until they are inconsistent with this new legislation. It applies throughout the entire state.
