Disqualifications

A person shall not be eligible for election or nomination or co-option as a member of the Council if he --

1. (a) is an undischarged insolvent; or
2. (b) has been convicted by a Court in India for any offence and sentenced to imprisonment for not less than two years, and shall continue to be ineligible for a further period of five years since his release; or
3. (c) is of unsound mind and stands so declared by a competent court.
