Medicare Service Persons and Medicare Service Institutions (Prevention of Violence and Damage or Loss of Property) Act, Gujarat Year 2012

This Act protects doctors, nurses and other medical staff, and hospitals and clinics, from violence in Gujarat. Any act of violence against medical staff or damage to the property of a medical institution is prohibited and punishable. The offender must also pay compensation for the damage or loss caused, which can be recovered as arrears of land revenue.
