Appointment of Veterinary Surgeons and Inspectors.

(1) The State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint a person to be a Veterinary Surgeon for the purposes of this Act and may specify the area within which he shall exercise the powers and perform the duties of a Veterinary Surgeon under this Act. (2) The State Government may by a similar notification in the Official Gazette, appoint a person to be an Inspector for all or any of the purposes of this Act and specify the area within which he shall exercise the powers and perform the duties of an Inspector under this Act. (3) A Veterinary Surgeon, in addition to his powers as Veterinary Surgeon, may exercise within the area for which he is appointed, all the powers of an Inspector under this Act.
