Procedure for inquiry.—

1. (1) The provisions of the Code shall, in so far as they are applicable, apply to all inquiries and proceedings held by the Collector under this Act as if he were a Revenue Officer.
2. (2) Every such inquiry shall be deemed to be a judicial proceeding within the meaning of sections 193, 219 and 228 of the Indian Penal Code.
