ESTABLISHMENT AND CONSTITUTION OF AUTHORITY
Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park World Heritage Area Management Authority Act.Year 2006
The Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park World Heritage Area Management Authority Act, 2006 regulates land use, building construction, civic amenities, tourism, and business activities within the designated heritage boundaries. It applies directly to local residents, property owners, commercial builders, business operators, and visiting tourists inside both the core monument zone and the surrounding buffer areas. The law matters because it creates a dedicated regulatory authority to safeguard historic monuments, natural forests, and cultural sites from uncontrolled commercial exploitation and illegal encroachment, establishing strict planning permissions, environmental safeguards, licensing systems, and clear legal penalties for unauthorized construction or damage to the protected heritage area.
