Issue of injunction

(1) If a court is satisfied on information laid before it through a complaint or otherwise that a sacrifice in contravention of the provisions of this Act has been arranged or is about to be performed, it may issue an injunction against any of the persons concerned in arranging or performing it, prohibiting the performing of such sacrifice. (2) Whoever knowing that an injunction has been issued against him under sub- section (1) disobeys such injunction shall, on conviction, be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to six months or with fine which may extend to Rs. 500 or with both.
