Definitions.

“In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,”

1. (a) “Chairperson” means the Chairperson of the Foundation;
2. (b) “Governing Council” means the Governing Council constituted under section 7 of this Act;
3. (c) “Finance Committee” means the Finance Committee constituted under section 3 of this Act;
4. (d) “Government” means the Government of Goa;
5. (e) “Managing Director” means the Managing Director of the Foundation;
6. (f) “Foundation” means the Goa State Research Foundation established under section 3;
7. (g) “Rules” means rules made under this Act;
8. (h) “Research” means a systematic approach for the generation, augmentation, or improvement of knowledge in any discipline.
