Goa Sales Tax (Amendment) Act, 1989

Short title and commencement.—(1) This Act may be called the Goa Sales Tax (Amendment) Act, 1989.

1. (2) It shall come into force at once.

Amendment of section 2.—In section 2 of the Goa Sales Tax Act, 1964 (hereinafter referred to as the "principal Act"),—

1. (a) in clause (d), for the words "the Union territory of Goa, Daman and Diu", the word "Goa" shall be substituted;
2. (b) in clause (g), for the words "Union territory", the word "State" shall be substituted.

Amendment of section 6. — In section 6 of the Goa Sales Tax Act, 1964 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), in sub-section (1), for the figures "1988", the figures "1989" shall be substituted.
