The Goa (Rajiv Gandhi IT Habitat-Cancellation / Abolition and Regulation of Allotment of Plots) Act, 2012

This Act cancels and abolishes the allotment of all plots at the Rajiv Gandhi IT Habitat in Goa, rendering them null and void. It applies to individuals, companies, and other entities that were allotted these plots for IT or related business purposes. The legislation returns the plots to the Info Tech Corporation of Goa Limited and requires the government to refund all amounts paid by the allottees, including premiums and lease rents, along with simple interest at ten percent per annum. This measure aims to reassert government control over the IT habitat and facilitate the development of a new facility.
