Bare Act
The Goa (Prohibition of Further Payments and Recovery of Rebate Benefits) Act, 2002
General200210 sections
This law regulates electricity tariffs in Goa by stopping industrial consumers from claiming a 25 percent rebate that was previously granted by the government. The state government issued orders giving this discount, but a court later ruled those orders were illegal because they didn't follow proper rules. Consequently, this Act prohibits anyone from asking for more money based on those orders and requires people who already received the rebate to pay it back.
