Application for licence. —

1. (1) Every application for the grant of a licence under section 5 shall be made to the Licensing Authority in such form and in such manner and shall be accompanied by such fee as may be prescribed.
2. (2) On receipt of an application under sub-section (1), the Licensing Authority shall, after making such inquiry as it deems fit, either grant the licence or refuse to grant the same: Provided that no licence shall be refused unless the applicant has been given an opportunity of being heard.
3. (3) A licence granted under this section shall be valid for such period as may be prescribed and may be renewed from time to time.
