Bare Act
The Ministers of the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi (Salaries and Allowances) Act, 1994
This legislation governs the financial compensation, perks, and official entitlements for the Chief Minister and Cabinet Ministers of the National Capital Territory of Delhi. It sets fixed monthly amounts for basic salary, constituency allowances, sumptuary allowances, and travel reimbursements within India. Additionally, the law guarantees official benefits such as rent-free furnished housing or accommodation allowances, government-funded motor vehicles with driver services, medical coverage for ministers and their families, and telephone facilities. By establishing formal rules for government-provided amenities and prohibiting ministers from drawing double salaries as ordinary assembly members, this Act ensures transparent and structured compensation for Delhi's executive leadership.
