Advisory Board
The Minimum Wages Act, 1948 (Delhi ApplicationFor the purpose of co-ordinating the work of committees and sub-committees appointed under section 5 and advising the appropriate Government generally in the matter of fixing and revising minimum rates of wages, the appropriate Government shall appoint an Advisory Board. In its application to the National Capital Territory of Delhi to the principal Act, in section 22, for the words "shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to six months, or with fine which may extend to five hundred rupees, or with both", the following words shall be substituted:-- "shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term of three years or with fine of Rs. 50,000 or with both." In Section 22 of the Principal Act, in its application to the National Capital Territory of Delhi, for the words "shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to six months, or with fine which may extend to five hundred rupees, or with both", the words "shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term of three years, or with fine of Rs. 50,000, or with both." shall be substituted.
