Jows:-

(i) This Act may be called the Contingency Fund of the National Capital Territory of Delhi Act, 1994. (ii) It extends to the whole of the National Capital Territory of Delhi. (iii) It shall come into force at once.

There shall be established a Contingency Fund in the nature of an imprest entitled the Contingency Fund of National Capital Territory of Delhi, into which shall be paid from and out of the Consolidated Fund of the National Capital Territory of Delhi a sum of Rs. 10 crores.

The Contingency Fund of National Capital Territory of Delhi shall be held by the Lieutenant Governor of the National Capital Territory of Delhi (hereinafter referred as "the Lieutenant Governor"), and no advances shall be made out of such Fund except for the purposes of meeting unforeseen expenditure pending authorisation of such expenditure by Legislative Assembly of Delhi under appropriations made by law.

For the purpose of carrying out the objects of this Act, the Lieutenant Governor may make rules regulating all matters connected with or ancillary to the custody of the payment of moneys into and the withdrawals of moneys from, the Contingency Fund of National Capital Territory of Delhi.

Every rule made by the Lieutenant Governor under this Act shall be laid, as soon as it is made, before the Legislative Assembly.
