Delegation of powers
The Bombay Labour Welfare Fund Act, 1953 as extended to Union Territory of Delhi(1) The Board may, by resolution, delegate to the Welfare Commissioner such of its powers and duties under this Act as it may deem fit. (2) The Board may also delegate such powers and duties as it considers necessary to any officer of the Board appointed under the Act. (1) If the Administrator is satisfied that the Board has made default in performing any duty imposed on it by or under this Act or has abused its power, the Administrator may by notification in the Delhi Gazette supersede or reconstitute the Board in the manner prescribed for constitution of the Board: Provided that before issuing the notification under this sub-section, the Administrator will give a reasonable opportunity to the Board to show cause why it should not be superseded and shall consider the explanations and objections, if any, of the Board.
