Bare Act
The Industrial Development Corporation Act, 1965
This legislation establishes the Goa Industrial Development Corporation to promote, organise, and streamline the rapid growth of industries across the state of Goa. It applies to industrial undertakings, commercial businesses, property owners, and local authorities operating within designated industrial estates and areas. The Act empowers the Corporation to acquire and develop land, construct factories and infrastructure, allot facilities to businesses, and enforce building regulations. By centralising statutory functions and development approvals under a dedicated body, the Act ensures planned industrial infrastructure, fosters economic development, and provides clear procedures for land allocation and amenity management in Goa.
