Power to regulate the mesh size of fishing nets

The Government may having regard to the nature and mode of fishing and the need to conserve fish and to regulate fishing on a scientific basis by an order notified in the Official Gazette regulate or restrict the size of mesh of a fishing net. If the owner of a fishing vessel desires to shift the vessel from one port area to the other, he shall inform such movement in Form H to the authorised officer and also to the port officer, having jurisdiction over the area where such fishing vessel has been moved.
