Classes of Civil Judges and their jurisdiction

Classes of Civil Judges and their jurisdiction.—

1. (1) The Civil Judges shall be of two classes, namely Senior Civil Judges and Junior Civil Judges.
2. (2) The jurisdiction of a Senior Civil Judge extends to all original suits and proceedings of a Civil nature.
3. (3) The jurisdiction of a Junior Civil Judge extends to all original suits and proceedings of a civil nature wherein the subject matter does not exceed in amount or value [twenty Lakhs rupees].
