The Chhattisgarh Rajya Vitta Ayog (Amendment) Adhiniyam, 2018

This legislation amends the Chhattisgarh State Finance Commission Act to modify the rules for the Chairman and members who serve on the commission. Under the new provisions, these leaders are appointed for a specific duration initially, but the Governor has the authority to extend their terms whenever required. The amendments also explicitly state that members are eligible for re-appointment after serving their term. Furthermore, a member may resign by submitting a written letter directly to the Governor. These updates are designed to grant the Governor more flexibility in determining the duration of service for the Commission's leadership.
