The Chhattisgarh Rajya Anusuchit Janjati Ayog (Sanshodhan) Adhiniyam, 2020

1. (1) This Act may be called the Chhattisgarh Rajya Anusuchit Janjati Ayog (Sanshodhan) Adhiniyam, 2020.
2. (2) It shall extend to the whole State of Chhattisgarh.
3. (3) It shall come into force from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.

For clause

1. (a) of sub-section

1. (2) of Section 3 of the Chhattisgarh Rajya Anusuchit Janjati Ayog Adhiniyam (No. 24 of 1995), (hereinafter referred to as the Principal Act), the following shall be substituted, namely:- "(a) Six non official members who have special knowledge in the matters relating to Scheduled Tribes of whom one shall be the Chairperson and one shall the Vice Chairperson to be appointed by the State Government: Provided that at least four members including the Chairperson and Vice Chairperson, shall be from amongst the Scheduled Tribes."

In Section 3 of the Principal Act, in sub-section (2), in clause (a), after the words "the chairperson", the words "and one shall be Vice Chairperson" shall be inserted.

For sub-section

1. (1) of Section 4 of the Act, the following shall be substituted, namely:- "(1) Chairperson, Vice Chairperson and every member shall hold office, from the date on which he assumes the office, during the pleasure of the State Government."

In Section 6 of the Principal Act, after the word "Chairperson", the punctuation and word ", Vice Chairperson" shall be inserted.

In Section 15 of the Principal Act, after the words " The Chairperson", the punctuation and word ", Vice Chairperson" shall be inserted.

In Section 17 of the Principal Act, in sub-section (2), in clause (a), after the words "the Chairperson", the punctuation and word ",Vice Chairperson" shall be inserted.

1. Short title, extent and commencement

1. (1) This Act may be called the Chhattisgarh Rajya Anusuchit Janjati Ayog (Sanshodhan) Adhiniyam, 2020.
2. (2) It shall extend to the whole State of Chhattisgarh.
3. (3) It shall come into force from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette. 2. Amendment of Section 3 In Section 2 of the Chhattisgarh Rajya Anusuchit Janjati Ayog Adhiniyam, 1995 (No.24 of1995), (hereinafter referred to as the Principal Act), in clause (b), after the words "the chairperson", the words "and Vice Chairperson" shall be inserted. 3. Amendment of Section 4 In Section 3 of the Principal Act, in sub-section (2), in clause (a), after the words ".the chairperson", the words "and one shall be Vice Chairperson" shall be inserted.
