Chhattisgarh Nagar Tatha Gram Nivesh (Amendment) Adhiniyam, 2026

1. (1) This Act may be called the Chhattisgarh Nagar Tatha Gram Nivesh (Amendment) Adhiniyam, 2026.
2. (2) It shall come into force from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.

After sub-section

1. (2) of Section 38 of the Chhattisgarh Nagar Tatha Gram Nivesh Adhiniyam, 1973 (No. 23 of 1973), the following sub-section shall be inserted, namely:- "(2-A) In respect of any specified area within a planning area, the State Government may, by notification, designate, any of the following entities:-
   • (a) any agency of the State Government; or
   • (b) any company owned by the State Government; or
   • (c) any Urban Local Body (within its jurisdiction area); to function as the Town and Country Development Authority for such specified area, in addition to the Town and Country Development Authority having jurisdiction over that area and may, delegate to the entity so designated such powers, functions, duties and responsibilities as it may deem necessary, including the preparation, execution and implementation of Town Development Schemes for the specified area. Provided that the provisions of Sections 39 to 48 shall not be applicable to such entity."
