This Act concerns which offices do not disqualify a person from being a member of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly. It defines "compensatory allowance" as travelling, daily, sitting, conveyance, house rent, communication and similar allowances paid to meet the expenses of an office, and makes clear that receiving such allowances does not make an office one of profit. It also revises the list of offices exempted from disqualification.
