The Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Science (Amendment) Act, 2019

Short title and commencement.-

1. (1) This Act may be called the Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Science (Amendment) Act, 2019.
2. (2) It shall come into force at once.

Amendment in Section-12 of Bihar Act, 10, 1984.- The following new proviso shall be added at the end of subsection

1. (1) of section-12 of the said Act, 1984 :- " Provided that the term of the outgoing director, maximum one time only, may be extended, by the government for a period of three years or part thereof, but not beyond 65 years of age."

Saving.- Notwithstanding such amendment, anything done or any action taken previously under section-12 of the said Act, 1984 (as amended from time to time) shall not be affected.
