Constitution of an Advisory Board
The Bodhgaya Temple Act 1949(1) The State Government may constitute an Advisory Board (hereinafter referred to in this Act as the 'Board") which shall consist of such number of members as the State Government may determine. (2) The majority of the members of such Board shall be Buddhists who may not all be Indians. (3) The members of the Board shall hold office for such term as may be fixed by the State Government. (4) The Board shall function purely as an Advisory body to the Committee and shall discharge its functions in the manner prescribed by the State Government by rules made in this behalf. An adjourned meeting, being merely continuation of the original meeting, shall not require notice of more than seven days.
