The Bihar self- Supporting Co- operative societies (Amendment) ACT, 2008

This Act amends the Bihar Co-operative Societies Act, 2008, and the Bihar Co-operative Societies Act, 1996, by adding new sections to the 1996 Act. It also amends the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, the Special Marriage Act, 1954, and the Hindu Succession Act, 1956 by adding a new section 38A to each. The legislation empowers the government to make rules for these amendments and allows the government to apply these changes to other laws or for other purposes. It does not apply to the Special Marriage Act, 1954.
