This Act amends the Bihar Panchayat Raj Act, 2006. It requires every Gram Panchayat to set up standing committees for its main functions, such as a Planning, Co-ordination and Finance Committee and a Production Committee for agriculture, animal husbandry and fisheries, and sets out what each committee handles.
