Explanation:— In case the post of one member is vacant, the view of the Chairperson shall prevail.

Validation of act or proceeding No act or proceeding of the Lokayukta shall be invalid merely by reason of-

1. (a) any vacancy in, or any defect in constitution of Lokayukta.
2. (b) any defect in the appointment of the person acting as member of Lokayukta or
3. (c) any irregularity not affecting the merits of the case.
