Functions of the Agency

The functions of the Agency shall be- (i) the formulation of a plan or programme and schemes for the integrated rural and agricultural development of the territory within its area of operation; (ii) the implementation of such plan or programme and schemes as may be necessary for the development of the area; (iii) the promotion and operation of schemes for irrigation, drainage, flood control and water-supply, rural electrification, land leveling and land development and development of agriculture, animal-husbandry, fisheries and forestry within its area of operation:
