Infrastructure202516 sections
This law regulates the transfer of municipal employees in Assam from local boards to the state government. It applies to staff serving under municipal boards before September 4, 2013, provided they are citizens in good health and have no disciplinary issues. Once provincialised, these workers become state government employees, adopting their service rules and receiving pay and allowances comparable to state ranks. However, they cannot claim prior service benefits or pension accumulation, and employees aged 60 or older at the law's start are deemed retired immediately.
