Seniority

("Seniority")

1. (1) The inter-se seniority of the employees transferred to a Receiving Establishment shall be determined in such manner as may be prescribed: Provided that the seniority of an employee in the grade or cadre of the Receiving Establishment shall be determined by taking into account the continuous service rendered by him in the equivalent grade or cadre in the parent Establishment.
2. (2) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-section (1), the Government may, by notification, issue such guidelines as it deems necessary to regulate the seniority of the employees transferred under this Act.
