The North East Frontier Agency Panchayat Raj (Regulation) Amendment Act, 1992

1. (1) This Act may be called the North-East Frontier Agency Panchayat Raj Regulation (Amendment) Act, 1992. (2) It shall come into force at once.

In section 2 of the North-east Frontier Agency Panchayat Raj Regulation 1967, for Clause (vii), the following clause shall be substituted, namely:- “(vii) ‘Gram Panchayat’ means a body of persons elected by secret ballot by the residents of any village as the Deputy Commissioner may specify in this behalf in the prescribed manner”.
