This Act amends the Indian Stamp Act, 1899 as it applies in Arunachal Pradesh. It raises the fines for offences under that Act, such as executing documents that are not duly stamped. For example, the maximum fine in section 62 goes up from five hundred rupees to two thousand five hundred rupees, and in section 64 from five thousand rupees to ten thousand rupees.
