Short Title Extent and Commencement

- (1) This Act may be called the Arunachal **[Rajiv Gandhi] University Act,1984. |
- (2) Notwithstanding anything contained in any other Act, this Act' shall extend to the | *[State ] of Arunachal Pradesh. *[Substituted for word ‘Union Territory’ vide Arunachal University (Amd) Act 1994 (3 of 1994 5.2 wef 03/01/1994)
- (3) This Act shall come into force on such date as the *[Governor] of Arunachal Pradesh may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint. *[Substituted for word ‘Administrator’ vide Arunachal University (Amd) Act 1994 (3 of 1994 5.2 wef 03/01/1994)
