The Arunachal Pradesh Legislature Memembers ( Prevention of Disqualifications) (Amendment) Act, 2021

This Act amends the law regarding the disqualification of members of the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly. It updates the Schedule to remove references to "Parliamentary Secretaries" and replace them with "Advisors" to the Chief Minister and Cabinet Ministers. This change aligns the disqualification rules with the current administrative structure, which no longer uses Parliamentary Secretaries but instead uses Advisors following a government order and court directive that ended the role in 2018. The Act also formally repeals the old law governing Parliamentary Secretaries, though it allows pending legal cases to continue under the previous rules.
