This Act enforces standard weights and measures in Andhra Pradesh. It sets up working, secondary and reference standards, and bars the use of weights and measures other than the standard ones. Commercial weights and measures must be stamped after verification, and selling or using unstamped ones is prohibited. A Controller and Inspectors enforce the Act and can inspect and adjust weights and measures.
