The Andhra Pradesh Vaidya Vidhana Parishad (Repeal) Act, 2023

This Act officially repeals the Andhra Pradesh Vaidya Vidhana Parishad Act of 1986, effectively dissolving the state medicine and local health body established under it. The government establishes the Directorate of Secondary Health as a new administrative department instead. All assets, liabilities, employees, and contracts belonging to the previous Commissionerate are transferred to this new Directorate. These provisions also repeal a corresponding ordinance from 2023 while validating actions taken under it, providing a two-year window to resolve any administrative difficulties arising from this structural change.
