Members, Officers and employees of the Commissionerate to be public servants

(1) All members, officers and other employees of the Commissionerate shall be deemed, when acting or purporting to act in pursuance of the provisions of this Act or any rule or regulation made thereunder, to be public servants within the meaning of Section 21 of the .Clause added by the Act No. 36 of 2008, S.2. .Substituted by the Act No. 5 of 1987, S.2. .Substituted by the Act No. 5 of 1987, S.3. .Provisos omitted by the Act No. 5 of 1987, S.3.

Indian Penal Code, 1860 and the

1[Prevention of Corruption Act, 1947] for the time being in force.

1. (2) The words "State Government" and "Government" in Section 161 of the Indian Penal Code shall for the purposes of sub-section (1) be deemed to include the Commissionerate.
