The Municipal Corporations, the Andhra Pradesh Municipalities, the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority Pradesh Metropolitan Region and Urban Development Authorities (Amendment) Act, 2018

Short title and commencement:

1. (1) This Act may be called the Municipal Corporations, the Andhra Pradesh Municipalities, the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority and Andhra Pradesh Metropolitan Region and Urban Development Authorities (Amendment) Act, 2018.
2. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force with effect from the 10th day of May, 2018.

Amendment of Act No. 2 of 1995: In the Andhra Pradesh Municipal Corporations Act, 1995, in section 60, after sub-section (1), the following sub-section shall be added, namely:— "(2) Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act, the Government may, by notification in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette, appoint any officer of the Government as the Municipal Commissioner of the Corporation, who shall exercise such powers and perform such functions as may be prescribed."

Amendment of Act No. 1 of 1975 Amendment of Act No. 1 of 1975 — In the Andhra Pradesh Urban Areas (Development) Act, 1975, in section 13, in sub-section (1), for the word "Government", the words "the Authority" shall be substituted.
