The Finance Officer
The Dravidian University Act, 1997(1) The Finance Officer shall be a wholetime officer of the University appointed by the University from out of a panel of three officers to be obtained from the Government in the Education Department on such terms and conditions as may be prescribed by the rules made by the Government in this behalf. He shall be the employee of the Government and the salary, allowances, pension and other remuneration shall be paid to him in the first instance out of the Consolidated Fund of the State and later recovered from the University. (2) He shall maintain the accounts of the University and also advise the University on all matters relating to income and expenditure. (3) He shall be present at the meetings of the Finance Committee and participate in the discussions but shall not be entitled to vote.
