Appointment of Commissioner and assessing authorities

Statutory text

(1) Government may, by notification, appoint such persons as they think fit to be the Commissioner for the purpose of exercising the powers conferred and performing the functions assigned to him by or under this Act.
(2) The Government may also appoint the assessing authority, appellate authority and such other authorities as they deem fit for the purposes of this Act, and such authorities shall perform such functions within such area or areas of the whole of the State of Andhra Pradesh as they may be appointed to serve.
