The Andhra Pradesh Survey and Boundaries (Amendment) Act, 1995

1. (1) This Act may be called the Andhra Pradesh Survey and Boundaries (Amendment) Act, 2021.
2. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on and from the 11th January, 2021.

In the Andhra Pradesh Survey and Boundarics Act, 1923 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act,), for section 7, the following section shall be substituted, namely :- 7. Survey officer to carry out the survey or get the survey carried out in the manner prescribed :- The Survey Officer shall carry out the survey or shall cause the survey carried out with the assistance of an external or internal agency approved by the Government in the manner prescribed.

In the principal Act, in Chapter II for title “The Survey of Government lands”, the title “Survey of Lands” shall be substituted.

In the Principal Act, for section 5, the following shall be substituted namely, - “(5) State Government may direct the Survey of lands or of any boundary of such lands:- The State Government or, subject to the control of the State Government, any officer or authority to whom this power may be delegated by it may by notification order a survey of any land owned by Government or otherwise.”

In the principal Act, in section 12, in clause (a), for the words “sixty

1. (60) days” where ever it occurs, the words “thirty (30) days” shall be substituted.

In the principal Act, in section 13, after the words “village chavadi”, the words “Village Secretariat, Ward Secretariat” shall be inserted and for the words “of the village to which the survey relates”, the words “of the village/ward to which the survey relates” shall be substituted.

In the principal Act, in section 16,

1. (i) for the marginal heading along with opening portion, the following shall be substituted, namely, - “Duties of Village Officer / Ward Officer:- It shall be the duty of every Village Officer / Ward Officer:
2. (ii) after clauses

1. (a) and
2. (b) the following explanation shall be inserted namely, - “Explanation: Village Officer: Village Officer shall include Panchayat Secretary, Village Surveyor and Village Revenue Officer. Ward Officer: Ward Officer shall include Ward Amenities Secretary, Ward Planning Secretary and Ward Revenue Secretary.”

1. (1) The Andhra Pradesh Survey and Boundaries (Amendment) Ordinance, 2021 (Ordinance No. 2 of 2021) is hereby repealed.
2. (2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under the said Ordinance shall be deemed to have been done or taken under this Act.
