Short title, extent and commencement

(1) This Act may be called the Andhra Pradesh School Education Management (Community Participation) Act, 1998. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Andhra Pradesh. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may by notification appoint. (4) It applies to all educational institutions in the State imparting education from Primary stage upto tenth class and includes Non-formal Education Center or Adult Education Center or Continuing Education Center functioning under the control of Government, Local Bodies.
