The Andhra Pradesh Municipalities, the Andhra Pradesh Urban Areas (Development) and the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (Amendment) Act, 2015

Short title and commencement:

1. (1) This Act may be called the Andhra Pradesh Municipalities, the Andhra Pradesh Urban Areas (Development) and the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (Amendment) Act, 2015.
2. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force with effect on and from the 30th December, 2014.

Amendment of Act 6 of 1965.— In the Andhra Pradesh Municipalities Act, 1965, in section 25, in sub-section (1),—

1. (a) for the words "every ward", the words "every ward or every notified slum or every notified urban poor settlement" shall be substituted;
2. (b) for the words "the inhabitants of the ward", the words "the inhabitants of the ward or the notified slum or the notified urban poor settlement" shall be substituted;
3. (c) for the words "of that ward", in the two places where they occur, the words "of that ward or that notified slum or that notified urban poor settlement" shall be substituted.

Amendment of Act 1 of 1986.- In the Andhra Pradesh Municipalities Act, 1965, in section 146, in sub-section (1), for the figures "1965" and words "Andhra Pradesh Municipalities Act, 1965", the following shall be substituted, namely:- "Andhra Pradesh Municipalities Act, 1965 and the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority Act, 2014".

Amendment of Act 11 of 2014.- In the Andhra Pradesh Urban Areas (Development) Act, 1975, in section 3, in sub-section (2), after the words "Urban Development Authority", the following words shall be added, namely:- " Provided that the Municipal Corporation or the Urban Development Authority falling under the jurisdiction of the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority Act, 2014 shall cease to exist from the date of commencement of the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority Act, 2014."
