The Andhra Pradesh Gram Panchayat Laws (Amendment) Act, 1988

1. (1) This Act may be called the Andhra Pradesh Gram Panchayat Laws (Amendment) Act, 1988.
2. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 26th September, 1987.

In the Andhra Pradesh Gram Panchayats Act, 1964, in section 3, in sub-section (1),-

1. (a) for the words "revenue taluk" and "taluk", wherever they occur, the words "revenue mandal" and "mandal" shall respectively be substituted;
2. (b) for the expression "the Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Act, 1955", the words, "the relevant law relating to Municipal Corporations for the time being in force in the State" shall be substituted.

-1 3. The Andhra Pradesh Gram Panchayats (Second Amendment) Act, 1987 and the Andhra Pradesh Gram Panchayat Laws (Amendment) Ordinance, 1987 are hereby repealed.
