  1. 0. Preamble
  2. 1. Short title, extent and commencement -(1) This Act may be called the
  3. 2. Definitions - In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,-
  4. 3. Controlling Authority - The Director of Animal Husbandry shall be the

  20. 19. Regulation of sale of animal feed or mineral mixture -No person shall
  21. 20. Prohibition on manufacture, sale and distribution of approved animal feed or mineral mixture
  22. 21. Approved animal feed or mineral mixture deemed to be adulterated -
  23. 22. Approved animal feed or mineral mixture deemed to be misbranded -
  24. 23. Minimum standards to be maintained and Responsibilities of the Feed business operator
  25. 24. Warranty and Feed recall procedure -No manufacturer or distributor or
  26. 25. Animal feed analytical laboratories and referral laboratory -The
  27. 26. Analysis of samples -(1)Where an authorized officer has reason to doubt

  29. 28. Examination of customs -An officer authorized by the Special Chief
  30. 29. Seizure of suspected approved animal feed or mineral mixture -An
  31. 30. Penalty for contravention of this Act –(1)Every person who contravenes
  32. 31. Procedure for launching prosecution -(1) The Animal Feed Inspector
  33. 32. General provisions relating to penalty
  34. 33. Penalty for selling feed not of the nature or substance or quality demanded
  35. 34. Penalty for substandard feed -Any person who whether by himself or by
  36. 35. Penalty for misbranded feed -Any person who whether by himself or by
  37. 36. Penalty for misleading advertisement -Any person who publishes, or is
  38. 37. Penalty for feed containing extraneous matter -Any person whether by
  39. 38. Penalty for failure to comply with the directions of Animal Feed
  40. 39. Penalty for unhygienic or unsanitary processing or manufacturing of feed
  41. 40. Penalty for contraventions for which no specific penalty is provided -
  42. 41. Act, shall be liable to penalty as may be prescribed.
  43. 42. Appellate Authority -(1)Any person aggrieved by an order of the
  44. 43. Protection for action taken in good faith -No suit, prosecution or other
  45. 44. Persons acting under this Act to be public servants -Any person acting
  46. 45. Maintenance of registers and records -The Registering/licensing
  47. 46. Submission of returns -Every holder of valid license or registration
