Chapter I PRELIMINARY

1. (1) This Act may be called the Tribunals Reforms Act, 2021.
2. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 4th April, 2021.

In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,---

1. (a) "Chairperson" includes Chairperson, Chairman, President and Presiding Officer of a Tribunal;
2. (b) "Member" includes Vice-Chairman, Vice-Chairperson, Vice-President, Account Member, Administrative Member, Judicial Member, Expert Member, Law Member, Revenue Member and Technical Member of a Tribunal;
3. (c) "notified date" means the 4th April, 2021;
4. (d) "Schedule" means the Schedule appended to this Act;
5. (e) "Tribunal" means a Tribunal, Appellate Tribunal or Authority as specified in column (2) of the First Schedule.
