1. Short title and commencement

Preliminary
- (1) This Act may be called the Maharashtra State Commission for Scheduled Castes Act, 2025.
- (2) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification published in the Official Gazette, appoint.

2. Amendment of section 2 of Mah. XXXVII of 2025
Statutory text
In section 2 of the Maharashtra State Commission for Scheduled Castes Act, 2025 (hereinafter referred to as “the principal Act”), in clause (b), after the word “Chairperson” the word “, Vice-Chairperson” shall be inserted.
