Chapter VII REPORTS, RETURNS AND INSPECTION

Every Local Library Authority and every person in charge of a public library shall submit such reports and returns and furnish such information to the Director of Public Libraries or any person authorised by him in this behalf as the said librarian or authorised person may, from time to time, require.

The Director of Public Libraries or any person authorised by him in this behalf may inspect any public library or any institution attached thereto for the purpose of satisfying himself that the provisions of this Act and the rules and bye-laws made thereunder are duly carried out.

(1) The Director of Public Libraries shall, in respect of each financial year, prepare an annual report of the progress made by the Local Library Authorities during the year along with such information and particulars as may be prescribed and submit such report to the State Government before such date as the State Government may by order specify. (2) The Director of Public Libraries shall, in respect of each financial year prepare an annual report of the activities of the State Library Authority during the year along with such information and particulars as may be prescribed and submit such report to the State Government before such date as the State Government may by order specify.
