Chapter VI CATTLE TRESPASS

Cattle trespassing in any portion of a Controlled Forest shall be deemed to be causing damage to public plantation within the meaning of section 11 of the Cattle Trespass Act, 1871 (1 of 1871), and any such cattle may be seized and impounded by any Forest Officer.

The State Government may, by notification direct that in lieu of the fines fixed under section 12 of the Cattle Trespass Act, 1871 (1 of 1871), there shall be levied for each head of cattle impounded under section 66 of this Act such fines as it thinks fit.
